We're starting out earlier this year with our in-person market appearances! The first one up will be this coming weekend, the Valentine's Day Market at the RJ Kennedy Arena in Cumberland, ON.
I thought it would be fun to lean into the Valentine's Day theme while making some new items for the show. I searched through my beads wondering whether I had any heart-shaped ones. Turns out I have a lot! I had a ton of fun creating these one-of-a-kind pieces that all feature hearts.❤️
I started with these two gorgeous puffed hearts. One is moss agate, in a deep mossy green with some clear quartz markings that reminded me of ice. I matched it with some clear quartz chips and green garnet tubes. Not tradtional Valentine's colours, but lovely just the same! The other heart is brecciated jasper, black and covered with deep red flecks. I paired this one with black obsidian and some red magnesite, with copper accents and a copper toggle clasp. I had a hard time photographing both of these heart beads and getting the details, but they're both stunning in person!
Next up were some lighter-coloured necklaces! This bright turquoise-coloured magnesite pendant is paired with similar-coloured howlite beads as well as some white howlite chips. I went white with the other necklace as well, choosing white freshwater pearls to go with pretty rose quartz.
Then I spotted these adorable heart charms and had a great time building them into some bracelets. Again I went with gemstones: one with turquoise-coloured howlite, the second with nephrite jade, and the third with amethyst and and super-pale-blush faceted rose quartz. They've all got copper accent beads and copper toggle clasps, so they all coordinate and would look fantastic stacked.
I'm looking forward to these all seeing their debut on the table this weekend.
